Agnosia 34:34
Call myself in sick. Nothing is to be lost here. Descending, Softly draped over Eye sockets agape, sinking in, Seeping, Elastic. A tender mold. How things are And How they came to be. Further apart. Firm in its detachment. An empty tank falling free into a watery abyss, Polluting, Black goo of energy, Now inert, Darker than ever, Impenetrable sky, Starless. Waiting, Which won’t mean anything, Not one Single Thing. This feels like nobody’s time. Did you expect it to be any different? Had someone told you how thing would turn out to be, What would you have done? This knowledge… All this knowledge should be interdicted. None of us should known None question nor wonder. Is this awake? An over abundance of seemingly chaotic points coming together, Flow chambers leaking, Seething, Rivers dissolved. As Light ceases its fluttering over a sunken omen. I do not wish to untangle this yarn. Please stop all the yearning Prevent the old from bequeathing. Silence the whispers, and with somber austerity let the pages burn, Erasing from the sky the message, “I know”. Put locks on graveyards, cut off the aether Snuff out the candles, bask in the shadow of truth. Shelter us from the monstrosity of Heaven For he who dwells above us Knows And we are safe where darkness reigns Protected by a solid dome of bliss, Invisible, Yet hammered deep into lime and the watery abyss: the Great Deep. While the spheres wander Pregnant with words Unspeakable to us Awfully old and Heavy, And Gods are burdened with what relieves us. As all Things shall remain unaltered As all Questions shall be unanswered. Or else, Cities will rise, Palaces not by Gods conceived but by mortals erected, So horrific that their mere existence, The mere fact of their having been spoken of -- even in the middle of a secret desert -- Will pollute the past and the future And somehow compromise the stars. So long as this City never sees edifice, The world shall ever be happy and courageous. Fulfilled. Overjoyed. Exquisitely behaved Of exceptional demeanor. Gaily unaware that we’ve been doomed to suffer Just because we told ourselves we could. Mouth fed by something we cannot grasp Blind hatchlings, purely incomplete, Unfinished, Warmly nested into absolute dependency. All answers cleared, none of them by word.
